  更に鎌倉時代に書かれた『古今著聞集』には、平安時代中期の僧・歌人である道命（藤原道長の甥）が、山の住人より蕎麦料理を振舞われて食膳にも据えかねる蕎麦料理が出されたことに対する素直な驚きを示す和歌を詠んだという逸話を記している。
